HYT Nutrition is responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this privacy policy, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What personal data do we collect?
When you use our webshop, we may collect the following data: identification data (name, first name, address); contact data (email address, phone number); order data (purchase history, billing and delivery address); payment data (payments are processed via an external, secure payment provider — we do not store full card details); technical data (IP address, browser type, device information, cookies); account data (username and encrypted password, if you create an account); and communication you send us via contact forms, email or customer service.
3. Why do we process your data?
We process your data to process and deliver your order (execution of the agreement), for customer service and communication, for invoicing and accounting (legal obligation), for fraud prevention and security (legitimate interest), for sending newsletters and marketing (consent), for improving our website through analytics (consent/legitimate interest), and for personalisation of advertisements (consent).
4. How long do we keep your data?
Customer and order data are kept as long as necessary for the execution of the agreement, and thereafter for the legal accounting retention period (in Belgium typically 7 years). Account data are kept as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion. Marketing data are kept until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe. For cookies, we refer to our cookie policy.
5. With whom do we share your data?
We may share your data with payment providers (e.g. Mollie, Stripe, PayPal) for processing payments; shipping and logistics partners (e.g. Bpost, DPD, DHL) for delivery; IT and hosting partners who technically support our systems; marketing and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta) if you have given consent for this; and government authorities, if legally required. We never sell your personal data to third parties. In the case of transfer outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to improve the user experience, analyse website usage, and, if you give consent, display personalised advertisements. You can adjust your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings on our website.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correction, deletion ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, objection to certain processing (e.g. direct marketing), data portability, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. 8. Security of your data
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access (e.g. SSL encryption, limited access, regular security updates).
9. Minors
Our webshop is not aimed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without the consent of a parent or guardian.
10. Changes to this privacy policy
We may amend this policy. The most recent version is always available on our website, indicating the date of the last amendment.
